Tea eggs
Cook the eggs first, then crack the shells and simmer them in spiced tea.
Simmer corn in water and check the kernels for tenderness before serving.

Remove dirty outer husks and silks. You may leave a few clean inner husks. Rinse under running water.
The corn and any remaining husks are clean.
Preparation ↗Place the corn in a pot large enough to hold it. Add drinking water to just cover and bring to a boil.
The water just covers the corn and the pot has room to prevent overflow.
Boiling ↗Reduce to a gentle simmer and leave the lid slightly ajar. At the check point, lift the corn with tongs and test a kernel for tenderness. Continue cooking firmer varieties as needed. Start a 15 min check-in after the water boils and you reduce the heat.
The kernels are tender with no hard raw center.
Simmering ↗Turn off the heat, lift out the corn with tongs, drain and cool briefly before eating.
The corn is drained and cool enough to handle and eat.
